TOSSA DE MAR
THE OLD HOSPITAL CHURCH IN TOSSA DE MAR
We did reproductions of the old tiles for the restoration of the roof of the church in “Hospital Saint Michel“ in Tossa de Mar on the coast of the Costa Brave in Spain. For this we had to completely remake all the tiles. The following three photos are photos showing the church at different angles. The tiles at the top are 13×13cm and 1,2 thick and each one has two colors green copper and slightly off white, the bottom 30×30cm and 2,5 cm thick, and each one a separate color copper green and cream. Because the two sections of the roof are curved each tile had to be cut down by the builders to fit in correctly.

A KITCHEN IN A RESTORED FARM HOUSE
These tiles are reproduction of antique Catalan kitchen tiles. We buy the semi handmade bisque tiles which are 1,2 cm thick and measure 13×13 cm. The borders are the same tiles which we had to cut in half to use. The color of the glaze-base is an off white that gives and antique look to the tiles. The first photo shows the kitchen and the others each of the designs.

SITGES
These picture was made for the entrance hall to a building of flats in Sitges, The tiles are the ones we normally use, industrially made bisque 15×15 cm and 7 mm thick and with borders 7,5×15 cm. The total measurements, with the borders are 90 × 135 cm. We copied the outlines for the design from an old etching that was in black and white.
